Caulking / Sealing

The purpose of joint sealant is to minimize infiltration of surface water and incompressible material into the joint system by using silicone sealant products. Joint sealing is known to prevent cracks and gaps from developing, leading to bigger structural concerns.

Joint sealing prevents unwanted surface water and contaminates like spent fuel or oil entering into the concrete or asphalt structure via the expansion or contraction joints.

This is a polymer-based gasket used in building and construction design applications to fill and protect joints between two substrates. It is used to seal joints, gaps and openings between two or more substrates to prevent environmental elements that provide conditions that may lead to corrosion.

Expansion/control joints are placed in concrete slabs to control random cracking whilst accommodating movement.
